Taapsee Pannu's Controversial Ouster From Pati, Patni Aur Woh Remake: Didn't Expect This From BR Chopra's Grandsons, Such High-handedness!
How can you expect results from a captain if he is not given the team he wants? Think of it, Ravi Chopra's sons have put themselves in the dock by not giving Taapsee Pannu to Mudassar Aziz's film- Pati, Patni Aur Woh remake
A captain should always be given the team that he wants, no matter what. Every player's role should be designated as per his strength and loyalty, no matter what. Perhaps BR Chopra's grandsons don't lead their work life that way which is their personal choice, but why are they saying, albeit indirectly, that Taapsee Paanu is lying? This is the last thing they should've done. Ravi Chopra's sons Abhay and Juno (real name, Kapil) have done more harm than good to her.
While Pati, Patni Aur Woh remake's co-producers Juno Chopra and Bhushan Kumar have released a statement saying that Taapsee Pannu is a talented actress, but they had never made a commitment to her while casting for the film- they are clearly saying it, albeit indirectly, that Taapsee has falsely shouted out that she had been unfairly dropped. Our sources say that Taapsee had been firmly confirmed for the Sanjeev Kumar-Vidya Sinha-Ranjeeta Kaur remake and speaking to SpotboyE.com EXCLUSIVELY this afternoon, the Pink star said, "Mudassar had been apologetic about my omission. And would you believe this? I came to know about my ouster from the media and industry. None of the three- Mudassar, Juno, Abhay- informed me. I called up Mudassar and asked what I was hearing from outside and he said he was doing just what he had been told by the producers After that, I even called up the producers who were even then not clear to me that I was not doing the film."

Bhushan and Juno’s official statement, released this evening- apparently in the wake of hell having broken loose on the Internet, reads, “When a script is locked, every director or producer approaches actors for the casting of the film, it is a basic protocol followed by almost all filmmakers. Similarly, for our upcoming project– Pati Patni Aur Woh, we reached out to many actors, who we thought could be our potential protagonists in the film. The versatile actress Taapsee Pannu was one of the many actresses we had approached for one of the leading ladies in the film. However, we as Producers have never made any commitment to her. We would like to clarify that our casting was purely done on the basis of who suited the characters to the tee. Taapsee is an extremely talented actress and we would love to work with her in future. We will soon make the official announcement for the final cast of Pati Patni Aur Woh.”
A Still From Pati Patni Aur Woh
Be honest to yourself and the public, Juno and Abhay. You have two role models- BR Chopra and Ravi Chopra- who were real gentleman and never covered up for their mistakes/decisions. Taapsee even told us, "It's fine, we all get thrown out from films. My only thing is they should've informed me. They excitedly narrated the script to me and I told them 'yes' in the first go. They even told me not to see the original Pati Patni Aur Woh because they were giving a contemporary take on this one."
Deny this, Juno and Abhay. Didn't you tell Taapsee to avoid seeing the original?
Okay, let me put it this way- counter all Taapsee's statements given to Mumbai Mirror and SpotsboyE.com and directly say she is lying. Courage is always appreciated, you know. Looking into someone's eye is also appreciated, you know.
The long and short of this controversy remains that Taapsee has been treated very unprofessionally when it comes to the casting process of Pati, Patni Aur Woh.

Bhumi Pednekar & Taapsee Pannu
FYI, we have broken the story that Bhumi Pednekar is likely to replace Taapsee in Vidya's role. We love to let the cats out of the bags, anyway.
